Made in Texas logoIn 1938, Owens Corning invented Fiberglas® fibers a discovery that later helped convert the roofing industry from organic felt based shingles to a construction that uses Fiberglas® mat at its core. Owens Corning Roofing began production of fiberglass reinforced shingles in 1977. For almost 40 years, Irving has been producing high quality Owens Corning 3-tab and architectural shingles.
