As a global leader in the building materials and composite solutions industries, we believe our rich history of product innovation can help achieve success for families working to create new beginnings. That’s why at Owens Corning we have chosen affordable housing as one our core philanthropic areas of focus. By working with partners such as Habitat for Humanity and Home Aid, we’re able to enhance lives by helping to build homes for families that are warm, safe and dry.
We also realize the importance of addressing local issues and employee interest where we operate. By supporting employee-giving campaigns, we’re able to bring together the needs of our local communities and personal philanthropy in partnership with United Way. With the support of the Owens Corning Foundation, our employees donated more than $1 million to United Way organizations of their choice across the United States.
In addition, we have a great passion to help develop the youth of tomorrow, and support education as a core cause. Our partnerships with JA Worldwide (Junior Achievement) and Jamie Farr have allowed us to help hundreds of children. Since its inception the Jamie Farr Owens Corning Classic has raised more than $5 million to benefit children’s charities.
