GREENGUARD Certification

GREENGUARD Logo

Many of Owens Corning’s fiberglass and foam insulation products carry the GREENGUARD Certification. Owens Corning was the first insulation manufacturer to qualify for the stringent GREENGUARD™ Product Emission Standard for Children and Schools.

The GREENGUARD Certification program is an industry independent, third-party testing program for low-emitting products and materials. GREENGUARD Certification is a valuable tool for architects, designers, product specifiers and purchasing organizations that want to locate, specify and purchase low-emitting products for indoor environments.

The GREENGUARD Institute requires products to pass rigorous emissions tests to be certified. The process tests products for emissions of formaldehyde, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), respirable particles and other pollutants. Only low-emitting products that do not compromise the air quality of indoor environments are awarded GREENGUARD Certification.
