TruFlow® polymerized asphalt coating dramatically increases the life expectancy of corrugated steel pipe (CSP) inverts by combining high-grade bituminous materials with high-performance synthesized components for improved abrasion resistance and durability. In other words, we mix asphalt and a rubber-like polymer to create a truly long-lasting CSP invert coating.

Just how tough is it? In ASTM A-926 testing, TruFlow lasts more than 3,000,000 revolutions. That’s 10 to 30 times longer than a standard coating-dipped invert (50-mils) which fails at 100,000 to 300,000 revolutions, depending on the softness of the coating. Even a dipped and paved invert with a 125-mil coating fails at 350,000 to 1,000,000 revolutions.

TruFlow is regularly subjected to rigorous quality control testing to ensure it’s consistently achieving this high level of performance. Each Trumbull plant operates its own quality control laboratory to verify product quality batch after batch. Plus, product samples are double-checked at our technical laboratory in Summit, Illinois, which is accredited by the American Association of State Highway Transportation Officials (AASHTO).

TruFlow polymerized asphalt coating not only outperforms other asphalt coatings, but also offers advantages when compared to alternative materials.
