Overview

A roof is made up of many components, all working together to provide strength and long-lasting protection. But in order for these components to protect against the weather outside, you have to ensure proper conditions inside the attic.

Optimized intake and exhaust ventilation allows air to flow through the attic—resulting in improved home energy efficiency and performance of the shingles. Without proper ventilation, excessive heat and moisture can buildup, which can lead to ice damming, higher energy costs and roof deterioration.

Sky Runner LTE™ roll vent has an external baffle that promotes better air flow out of the attic. Pair it with the VentSure® InFlow® vent to create a balanced ventilation system. The result is excellent roof deck protection and a longer life expectancy of your roof.

Sky Runner LTE™ – 30 foot roll vent is long, tough and easy to install, making it an excellent choice for your next roofing job.

† Owens Corning strives to accurately reproduce photographs of shingles. Due to manufacturing variances, the limitations of the printing process and the variations in natural lighting, actual shingle colors and granule blends may vary from the photo. The pitch of your roof can also impact how a shingle looks on your home. We suggest that you view a roofing display or several shingles to get a better idea of the actual color. To accurately judge your shingle and color choice, we recommend that you view it on an actual roof with a pitch similar to your own roof prior to making your final selection. Color availability subject to change without notice. Ask your professional roofing contractor for samples of colors available in your area.

Ventilation Requirements

In order to create a consistent flow of cool, dry air through your attic, you need to make sure the air has a way to come in and go out: intake and exhaust. It’s important there is a balance between the intake and exhaust ventilation to help ensure air flows smoothly and efficiently.
