I obtained seven quotes to replace my roof. Bob from Pinnacle Roofing stopped by my home to provide one of them. Interacting with him during the home visit was the best of the experiences I had with contractors that visited my property. He noticed one of the pipe boots was torn and replaced at no charge, which impressed me. He provided comprehensive documentation for all of the products proposed to be used, which was the Owens Corning total roofing system. Not all vendors provided materials such as these. Bob also provided a very detailed description of all work to be performed with product specifications. The estimates provided by Pinnacle also feature a color-coded diagram that illustrates the roof and identifies where certain products are to be installed, such as: ridge caps, ice and water barrier, flashing, etc. The estimate he left with me was the most comprehensive and useful quote that I received. I then performed product research, vendor research, and price comparisons. After doing some reading, I determined the Owens Corning roofing solution was superior to most of the roofing products proposed by other vendors. Owens Corning also offers a limited lifetime warranty backed by the parent company at surprisingly low price and it is transferable. As Pinnacle Roofing is Owens Corning platinum select certified, I was eligible to receive the best roofing warranty offered. I researched reviews on Google, Angie's List, Guild Quality, and other places looking for dirt on Pinnacle and found they have been in the business for years with a lot of praise and few complaints. Confident the roofing solution proposed was sound, confirming that Pinnacle was Owens Corning platinum select certified, and verifying they were a good company to do business with - I then compared prices. Pinnacle was middle of the pack in price, below the average of the seven quotes I received. To summarize my selection: they provided the best shopping experience, offered a better product, are highly skilled, had good customer feedback, and were below average cost (very reasonable price in my opinion). I was unwilling to go with lower priced vendors as I had little to no confidence in them, and had a good amount of confidence in Pinnacle at this point. Filling out the paperwork and paying the deposit was painless. I was flip-flopping on what color shingles I should select, but Bob provided some assistance with that. I received copies of the signed contract and a receipt from the main office via email in a timely manner. I received a phone call from Pinnacle two weeks prior to the roof replacement to schedule the job. I then received a second phone call earlier in the week, followed by a third phone call the day before the work was to be performed to double check and confirm everything still had the green light to proceed. I noticed the roofing crew was gathering in my driveway around 6:30 am waiting for the foreman to arrive. Around 6:45 am the crew was already on the roof stripping shingles and laying protective tarps around the roof to catch debris. I unfortunately forgot the foreman's name (I'm terrible with names), but he was excellent and took great care trying to place the tarps gently around my landscaping and plants. He monitored the work closely and asked me questions to confirm my preferences on some of the work to be performed. My roof is fairly large and has a complicated layout and configuration. I also had two chimneys that needed replacement flashing. The crew worked full tilt all day, stopping only for lunch, and then continued working until almost 7 pm. It was a long, hard workday for these guys. The foreman repeatedly asked me to inspect work and provide feedback that it was being done to my satisfaction. He was taking pictures and reporting back to the main office throughout the day, and I noticed what appeared to be a manager stop by mid-day to inspect the job site. When they were packing everything up, they picked up and raked all debris in addition to walking around everywhere with a large magnet making 2-3 passes in a zig zag pattern to ensure they didn't miss anything. The foreman personally made a final pass with the magnets and everything was cleaned off by one of his guys with a gas blower. Literally everything was cleaned and blown off: the roof, gutters, deck, patio, sidewalks, driveway, etc. The plants and landscaping all survived the ordeal. There was a minor issue with the Fascia replacement that they could not complete that day, so the Foreman came back with additional hardware and corrected that first thing the following morning with no fuss at all. My experience was problem-free. Everyone was very professional, communication was good, the roof looks great, and I am most pleased. I asked the main office for, and was provided with, copies of all the pictures they took during the job performance. The foreman also showed me several videos he took of some problem areas on the roof. The main office also handled my roof warranty registration for me and emailed me a copy several days later with my final payment receipt. I highly recommend Pinnacle Roofing. They took good care of me, and that is why I took the time to write this review.
It was a pleasure working with Pinnacle Roofing! They did excellent work and our property was left immaculate when they were done. We highly recommend them!
From start to finish the process was great. Other companies tried taking advantage of me by quoting astronomical prices. Pinnacle was fair and honest. David is great to work with and the crew that installed the roof was courteous and very good at what they did. Highly recommend pinnacle roofing.
