THE Shingles Are Very Nice .But The Roofer was Not Organized or Site Clean left mess The Gutter Worker was Very Organized and Professional.
This is up to you. I can't in good conscience give a good review, because the man in charge of the crew was completely drunk after lunch. I would recommend that you don't publish my rating, because it will harm your reputation.
The gentlemen who showed up to replace the roof were professional, coordinated, and worked in motion as a team. Everything I asked for, they did to completion, without complication. There were a few roofing panels that to me looked like they had mold. They changed them with no argument, and without hassle. When you watch them work, they're well organized, with no loss of time. They arrived around 8:30am, and by 5pm, on a fairly large home they had all work completed, and cleaned up. They used a magnet to pick up all the nails. They left the home, and yard in a clean condition. I would hire them again to do another roof for me without trouble. Hopefully, that won't be the case though! They did an exceptional job.
Good Job.
They did a good job and were on time.
The American Design and Build crew was on time and sufficient people doing the job. They got done in less than a day.
The roof is so beautiful.
Tom, at American Build was very knowledgeable and guided us through the process. Once the roof was being done, I was stunned at the care the roofers used to ensure the debris was picked up. They used Magnets to find the "hidden" nails in the year. Just excellent and so far, so good.
Great customer service. On time and very professional. When they were done with the work there was absolutely no waste or debris left behind.
American Design and Build was very thorough, efficient, and explained everything. They answered all my questions. I was able to talk with the supervisor on site. He talked with me and went over things. They followed up to make sure about the items I wanted to be removed and the replacement material.
1) I was completely misled about the pricing of the roof. 2) There were nails all over my yard when I was told by the salesman they would sweep the area thoroughly. There must have also been nails left in the gutters too because i would find many more nails after a rainstorm. 3) They also destroyed some flowers in our garden bed when, again, the salesman assured us they would be mindful of these things.
AD&D is a well known, very professional business that shows in the quality of their work and the attitude and behavior of their employees. I have dealt with them with other projects with complete satisfaction in the past and will not hesitate to consult with them in the future.
Nice job on the installation of the roof. Sales rep made us feel like we were buying a used car. Why can't sales people just give customer's the bottom line? Clean-up was just spotty at best.
You are going to see online rankings of larger companies working nationwide. By comparison American Design and Build looks small. Nothing wrong with that. AD&B does a great job. The only thing wrong with small is: if your solar project isn’t in Maryland or DC you don’t get to use AD&B. And there is another important advantage that American Design & Build has: they started out as a roofing business long before they added solar, and they have a very good reputation in roofing. And that’s important, because when you are putting new solar panels on your roof it makes sense to start with a good foundation, a roof that is there to last (with a 20 year commitment on the solar panels, re-shingling at the same time is a good plan). Please understand: I am not writing this to promote AD&B. It’s just happened with our family. I’d been interested in getting solar panels for a long time. 2 factors put me off. One was the cost. We’re not rich. And the other factor was that our roof was 25 years old but it was still working, and I didn’t want to put new solar panels on an old roof so I was waiting. But the past couple years our roof had some leaks, which we got repaired, and then this past winter I learned about government incentive which, depending on where you live, can lower the cost of solar panel projects. So I decided it was time. I researched a lot of companies, picked out 4-5, interviewed them, picked one, and they came out and designed a panel installation. We were all ready to move ahead. First step, by their recommendation, was to re-shingle our roof. That said they had a working relationship with a local/regional roofing company (the solar panel company was nationwide but they did not include roofing) and so they were telling me to have their roofing partner do our roof job. I thought ok, but delays happened and I got concerned so I looked at their roofing partner online and it looked like there were some bad reviews. I asked our solar company and they said yes, and in fact the solar company said they were in the process of ending their relationship with that roofing company and I should wait until they get a new roofing partner. I became distrustful and cancelled our planned solar project. Went back to the drawing board, more research and found AD$B. That’s why I am writing this: lessons learned.
Their work was very good. They cleaned up the debris. I did not have any problems.
